Disney Day Three: EPCOT

On Day Three, we decided to return to Epcot and explore the front 1/2 of the park.  Grams stayed with Hailey and Isaiah while Makenzie and I rode the rides.  While Makenzie took Grams to Mars, I stayed with Isaiah and Hailey.  There was an indoor playarea that the kids LOVED.

We LOVED the dinosoar ride...Ellen was the "host" and she is FUNNY!!!  Grams and I took turns taking the flight to Mars.  Then Makenzie and I rode the GM Test Track.  As we were going on the switch-backs, I thought, "Well, Isabelle won't be riding this ride!"

As Makenzie and I were waiting in line, I started thinking how lucky Grams was to be able to sit the rides out.  Then I thougth that when I'm the grandmother, I can sit the rides out.  Afterall, Mom served her time when we were young.  Then I realized...Grams HATES roller coasters.  Even when we were little, she NEVER went on the rides.  So...all this time, I thought Grams was being so selfless...letting me share these memories with Makenzie.  NOPE.  She was loving NOT having to ride the scary rides!!!!

And yes...it took me 3 1/2 days to realize this!!!!!

We rode the Figment ride.  It was not as cool as I remembered it.  And there were only 2 little activities afterward.  I hope they are simply getting ready to renovate???!!!

The water was cool to watch...as always.

The EduCot Stations at the front were AWESOME.  The girls liked the PiggyBank adventure the best.  They got a piggy bank, had to do 3 activities to earn/grow their money, and then they weighed the bank at the end to see if they had enough money to earn their goals.  We played twice, it was so much fun.

We played a "Spot the Fire Hazard" game.  Then the girls learned about what to do if there is a fire in the house (get low, get out, stay out).  While the girls were learning, Isaiah was washing his hands.

We played several more games and rode lots more rides.  Then we headed back to the hotel.

It was about 6pm.  We thought we'd ride the bus back, eat dinner there, and then head to bed.  Well, the bus took FOREVER.  The dinner line took FOREVER.  We didn't make it back to the room until nearly 9pm!!!  Oh well.  It was still a good day!

In the morning, we were going to eat breakfast and then go swimming in the pool.  On the way to breakfast, Makenzie started SCREAMING because her neck suddenly hurt so much.  Hailey ate a TON at breakfast.  Instead of swimming, we just packed up and headed home.  Makenzie just had a crick in her neck.  We gave her pain medication and rubbed BenGay on the neck.  After about 2 days, she was back to normal.

Well...that was our Disney Adventure.  It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!  The girls are still talking about how much fun they had!  What great memories!!!

Disney Day Two: MAGIC KINGDOM

We headed to AdventureLand and FrontierLand first.  Here we are riding Aladan's Magic Carpet.  Makenzie controlled the up and down.  After this ride, there was NO doubt that she would do fine on the roller coaters!!!

Robinson Family Treehouse.  Hailey wants her Daddy to make her a swing bed (aka hammock).

Grams watched Hailey and Isaiah while Makenzie and I went on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Splash Mountain.  We LOVED the Splash Mountain.  Makenzie laughed that I screamed at the drop.  And we both loved the Brother Rabbit story.

Next we all headed to FantasyLand.  I LOVE this picture of the girls riding the carasol with the castle in the background!!!

We rode ALL the rides...Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, Dumbo, Carasole.  It was lots of fun.  We were getting hot, so we stopped for some YUMMY icecream.

The Teacups and It's a Small World were both closed for renovation.  :(
I guess we'll just have to go back!!!  Sigh!!!

Next we headed to the "little kids" section.
We toured Minnie and Micky's house.

Minnie Mouse is a QUILTER!!!!!!!!!!

Then we decided it was worth the wait to allow the girls to meet the Disney Princesses!!!  They got to meet Cinderella, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty.  Each princess talked with each girl seperately, and they each got an autograph.  Isaiah also met them, but we was just happy to be OUT of the stroller and wanted to crawl around!

It was a MAGICAL experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next we headed to FutureLand.  We LOVED the Buzz Lightyear ride.  Grams is the best shot out of the 5 of us!!!  We decided to head back to FantasyLand and ride some of those rides again, rather than the  rest of the FutureLand rides.

Then we found a nice spot to watch the LightParade.  Right in front of our spot, they had set up a hop-scotch board.  So the girls had fun while we waited for the parade to start.

Then we all headed to the front and watched the fireworks.  WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Two Days at Disney + No Naps + Late Bedtimes =

Diney Day One: EPCOT

On our first day, we went to Epcot.  Or as Makenzie said "Apricot."

We wanted to explore the countries first, but they didn't open until 11am.  So we went to The Living Seas.  We did Turtle Talk with Cursh.  SO MUCH FUN!!!  Makenzie even got to ask Crush a question!!!!  She asked "How do turtles swim?"

After we finished the seas, it was time to explore the world!  In each country, there was a KidCot station. The first station you go to, you get a mask on a stick.  In each country, they will stamp the stick with a passport stamp and give a paper token that they attach with zipties.  So you end up with a long chain of symbols from the different countries.  Also, we had each person write the kids' names in their language.  If the alphabet was the same, we asked them to write "Hello".  It was really fun to find the stations.  I made the kids ask for the color they wanted in the language.  Then they also said thank you in the language.  Of course, we don't remember any of it, but it was cool while we were there!!!  And...now that I know what to expect, I'll be more prepared next time!

First stop: CANADA.

Next...ENGLAND.

Makenzie took this picture!  She's getting really good at photography!

In Japan, we made sure we saw the Candy Lady.  Makenzie waited pateintly with her hand up so she could pick an animal.

It was AMAZING to watch this woman take a lump of candy and turn it into detailed animals.  It was like magic...or dancing.  WOW!!!

Makenzie asked for a unicorn, Hailey asked for a penguin, and the lady also made a flamingo and an alligator.  We weren't able to keep them, but it was still AMAZING!!!

Here's our JAPAN.

MOROCCO.

Right when we got to the USA, the girls were recruited into the Continental Army!

While we waited for the show to start, we watched the accoplla singers.  WOW!

USA.

MEXICO.
As you can see, we are now sporting raincoats!!!  We stayed in Mexico for almost an hour, riding the boat ride over and over.  The girls LOVED it!!!  When it looked like the storm wouldn't blow over, we bought raincoats and heading out.

NORWAY.

Eating School Bread.  YUM.
It was like a Boston Creme donught with coconut and cinnamon instead of chocolate.

Daddy told Makenzie he had rode an elephant in Thailand.  Makenzie got to ride on in China!

CHINA.

GERMANY.

ITALY.

After we visited the countries, we went to the front and at dinner at The Land.  We were going to ride the rides, but most of them were closed.  We did ride the Spaceship Earth ride 2 times.  Then headed to find a spot for the fireworks.

WOW!
