Medal of Honor

I thought this article on the Medal of Honor, and our soldiers in general, was just too good not to share!

Happy Halloween

Hailey was a blue princess.

Makenzie was a witch.

So Isaiah just had to be a frog!

And he wasn't very happy about it!!!

Grams and Grandpa stopped in for a visit after the costumes were finished...so we took some pictures.  Makenzie is stirring her witch's pot and Hailey is using magic to turn Isaiah into a frog!

We wore our costumes to Co-Op on Monday and to Therapy on Tuesday!

Our church held a Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday.  We won for best trunk.  If you look...Hailey is on the castle, Makenzie is near the spooky tree, and Isaiah is in the mud on the farm!

Mommy walked around with the girls and Daddy helped Isaiah hand out the candy.  Isaiah LOVES throwing, so he'd get a piece of candy and throw it at the kids.  Sometimes they caught it, mostly they just picked it up off the ground.

We had a great Halloween.

Mommy Turned 31!!!

My birthday breakfast...bacon and french toast.  Yummy!!!

A quilting angel from my mom.

For my birthday, Spencer gave me the best gift in the world:  TIME!

He took the day off work and spent it with us.  We went to Columbia, SC.

First stop...the temple!

My eternal family!!!

Second stop...the zoo!

Makenzie was amazed the lorikeet came so close.  She was brave enough to stick her hand out.  The lorikeet put one foot on her finger.

Then it bit her.

Then it charged Hailey!

And Isaiah still wanted to touch it!

When we got home, we made beef stroganoff for dinner.  Super YUM!
Then we had brownies with more candles.

It was a wonderful day!!!

October = Hayrides and Pumpkins

One of the homeschool groups we belong to is A.C.T.S.  I don't remember what is stands for, but it is geared toward children with special needs.  The first activity I attended was the hayride at Strawberry Hill, USA.

We took a hayride, fed/pet cows, chased piglets, and picked out our pumpkins.

The kids painted their pumpkins.  Daddy (the creative one) carved our big pumpkin.  Mommy cleaned out the seeds and prepared them for toasting.

Our front porch...ready for Halloween.

Buddy Walk...October 2010

For the second year, we attended the Buddy Walk.  Isaiah gets a free shirt, a medal, and a goody bag.  This year, there were a bunch of carnival games set up.  The girls and Isaiah loved playing the games...especially winning lots of candy!!!
