Week 18...Friday...Flying, and Flying, and more Flying

It was a LONG flight.

Luckily, we had amazing seats.

We were the first row behind first class, so we had extra leg room.  The gentleman named JAY sat in the row with us.  He gave us good advice on things to see in Mumbai and Delhi.  We watched movies, napped, and I crocheted three animals...two seals and one hippo.

Before boarding, I purchased two deluxe cupcakes.  It was nice to have a treat half-way through the flight!  Apple pie and Chocolate Delight!

During the flight, we saw the sun rise...

 ...and then set again!!!

We left the United States Thursday night at about 8:30 pm.  We arrived in India Friday night at about 9 pm.

When we arrived, we made it though customs smoothly.

We shared the flight with Stephen Baldwin!!!  He is heading to India to work with a charity that helps teens.

Once outside, we found our driver right away.

The drive to the hotel was frightfully interesting.  Drivers in India are CRAZY.  There are not lanes marked.  Sometimes there are 3 cars, sometimes 2, sometimes 4.  They swerve in and out.  They honk a lot.  We drove through the slums and then to a nice 4-star hotel.

The car and then our bags and us...all had to pass through security.

The concierge was waiting for us and walked us to our room.  The room was nice and overlooked the manicured lawn and pool.

We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant.
They were having a special month-long Biryani Festival, so we ate two Biryani dishes...chicken and lamb.

Then we showered and crashed!

Tomorrow...we are going to explore Mumbai!
