Diney Day One: EPCOT

On our first day, we went to Epcot.  Or as Makenzie said "Apricot."

We wanted to explore the countries first, but they didn't open until 11am.  So we went to The Living Seas.  We did Turtle Talk with Cursh.  SO MUCH FUN!!!  Makenzie even got to ask Crush a question!!!!  She asked "How do turtles swim?"

After we finished the seas, it was time to explore the world!  In each country, there was a KidCot station. The first station you go to, you get a mask on a stick.  In each country, they will stamp the stick with a passport stamp and give a paper token that they attach with zipties.  So you end up with a long chain of symbols from the different countries.  Also, we had each person write the kids' names in their language.  If the alphabet was the same, we asked them to write "Hello".  It was really fun to find the stations.  I made the kids ask for the color they wanted in the language.  Then they also said thank you in the language.  Of course, we don't remember any of it, but it was cool while we were there!!!  And...now that I know what to expect, I'll be more prepared next time!

First stop: CANADA.

Next...ENGLAND.

Makenzie took this picture!  She's getting really good at photography!

In Japan, we made sure we saw the Candy Lady.  Makenzie waited pateintly with her hand up so she could pick an animal.

It was AMAZING to watch this woman take a lump of candy and turn it into detailed animals.  It was like magic...or dancing.  WOW!!!

Makenzie asked for a unicorn, Hailey asked for a penguin, and the lady also made a flamingo and an alligator.  We weren't able to keep them, but it was still AMAZING!!!

Here's our JAPAN.

MOROCCO.

Right when we got to the USA, the girls were recruited into the Continental Army!

While we waited for the show to start, we watched the accoplla singers.  WOW!

USA.

MEXICO.
As you can see, we are now sporting raincoats!!!  We stayed in Mexico for almost an hour, riding the boat ride over and over.  The girls LOVED it!!!  When it looked like the storm wouldn't blow over, we bought raincoats and heading out.

NORWAY.

Eating School Bread.  YUM.
It was like a Boston Creme donught with coconut and cinnamon instead of chocolate.

Daddy told Makenzie he had rode an elephant in Thailand.  Makenzie got to ride on in China!

CHINA.

GERMANY.

ITALY.

After we visited the countries, we went to the front and at dinner at The Land.  We were going to ride the rides, but most of them were closed.  We did ride the Spaceship Earth ride 2 times.  Then headed to find a spot for the fireworks.

WOW!
